  1. Breathe on me, breath of God, Fill me with life anew, That I may love what Thou dost love, And do what Thou wouldst do. Breathe on me, breath of God, Until my heart is pure, Until with Thee I will one will, To do and to endure. Breathe on me, breath of God, Blend all my soul with Thine, Until this earthly part of me Glows with Thy fire divine.

  4. And, yes, we hear about it in the Pentecost account in Acts where the flames are accompanied by wind — the very Breath of God. And surely we can’t help but be taken back to the creation account in Genesis where God’s own breath becomes Adam’s breath and thus, also, our own. Breathing is something we take for granted, of course.

  6. Jun 02,  · The breath of God brings understanding Job , “But it is a spirit in man, And the breath of the Almighty gives them understanding.” His breath will heal your bones! Ezek. , “ Thus says the Lord GOD to these bones, ‘Behold, I will cause breath to enter you that you may come to life.” 1 Thing we must do. We were meant to give.

  8. In the Tanakh, the word ruach generally means wind, breath, mind, spirit. In a living creature (nephesh chayah), the ruach is the breath, whether of animals (Gen ; Psa , 29) or mankind (Isa ; Ezek ). God is the creator of ruach: "The ruach of God (from God) is in my nostrils" (Job ).
