  5. I only found Little Milton a few years ago, from a great 60s compilation package. Grits Ain't Groceries was the song there, and it is a delight--a classic 60's R&B song that rocks as well as moans. The rest of this CD is mostly up to the standard set by that wonderful tune/5(10).

  6. The blasting opener, "Just a Little Bit", fared just as well, and is an equally successful mixture of dirty, down and out Chi-town blues wailing and James Brown beats. "I Can't Quit You Baby", the album's longest track, also is the most traditionally blues-based, although the mix is deliciously raw and Milton's fretboard work-out never gets old.

  7. Jun 01,  · Just A Little Bit is so well-known in the Roy Head hit version that Little Milton’s version is a contrast. He takes it slower, sexier, more impassioned, with a much more complex and interesting arrangement: bass at the forefront, the big horn section, Hammond organ.
